How to Draw Back to School Icons

How to Draw Back to School Icons
In the next few Affinity Designer tutorials, we will draw several Back to School icons, which will become part of a Back to School sticker sheet. We will create the individual stickers in their own Affinity Designer files. When we are ready to create the sticker sheet, we will export each Back to School icon as pngs, to maintain the transparency. Then we will import them into Silhouette Studio to print and cut the sticker sheet.

Each element will be drawn on its own 8 x 8 inches Affinity Designer canvas. This will give us a large icon that not only can be reduced a little to become part of a sticker sheet but can also be used in many other projects as well.

For example, these icons will be great for surface pattern designs, such as fabric or wrapping paper. Mix and match them into a Back to School pattern collection.

Of course, these icons are also great for other planner projects besides sticker sheets for your planner. You can use them to design a special planner page that you can use in a Back to School section of your planner or in a planner entirely dedicated to Back to School. What a nice way to get your kids excited about the new school year. They can also be use one at a time as a special treat added to your child's lunch. You can also mix and match the icons to create a greeting card or gift tag design for a back to school gift or party.

Do you have a website, blog or newsletter? These icons would be a nice addition to your webpages for the fall season. You can also give them away for free when someone visits your site and signs up for your newsletter.
