If you love seafood, you’ll definitely want to pick up The Crab Pot Cookbook: Boat-to-Table Recipes from Seattle’s Iconic Waterfront Restaurant. This excellent cookbook includes not only the history of this restaurant and the iconic Pike’s Market in Seattle, but mouthwatering recipes from the famous restaurant. An early chapter includes everything you need to know about crab including the types, choosing the right ones, storing, and cooking them. It also covers information on other seafood that is caught near Seattle, and has information on mussels, clams, halibut, shrimp, etc .

The recipes are mouthwatering. Anyone who has eaten at this restaurant will want to duplicate something from the menu, and this cookbook includes many of those recipes. The recipes are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed in order of use, followed by step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow. This book makes it easy to duplicate the recipes and none are particularly difficult so they are suitable for cooks both beginning and advanced. The book also includes recipes for sauces and side dishes.

The book includes gorgeous pictures of the area, fishing spots, and landscape. It also includes beautiful, professional photographs of most of the dishes.
All told, this is an excellent cookbook for those who like to duplicate restaurant recipes at home. The Crab Pot is a great restaurant (I’ve eaten there), and there are several dishes that I will be making.
